My friends all know that I like a good party. I have been looking forward to the Depot Theatre Gala since I was hired in April. Give me a good reason to dress up, eat yummy food, drink, and dance and just try to keep me from being there. And this Gala did not disappoint. Thank you to all of our guests, to the folks who donated our amazing live and silent auction items, to the generous people who bid on items (& bid on upgrading our office technologies!), to our beyond hard-working staff, and to our super-supportive Board of Trustees - most especially Gala Committee members John Hall and Kate Danzeizen. The Westport Country Club took good care of us in spite of the monsoon that extended our cocktail hour by 20 minutes (but hey, who's complaining about that?)

But at the Depot, even the best party of the year doesn't mean we get to rest. THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES (sponsored by Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union) are still running until August 19 and REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES (sponsored by Emmet-Carter Green Design) opens up next Friday, August 24. This week we have two very special Tonight Only! performances: Sam Balzac's Anti-Student Loan on Wednesday, August 15 and Beth Glover's Mississippi Voodoo on Thursday, August 16.
