Kent Burnham* (Rory O’Rourke) is very excited to back at The Depot, having appeared in Almost, Maine in 2009. Beth Glover* (Jean McKay) is very happy to be working with this wonderful cast and crew on The Cabbage Patch making its World Premiere. This season, Beth directed Wicked City and played Ruth in Living Together. Last year, she was Rona in Spelling Bee and co-directed Good Night Desdemona…with Chris Jones. Outside of the Depot, she has done five national tours, worked extensively in the regions and off-Broadway including the Lucille Lortel winning Counsellor at Law and the Drama Desk nominated Take Me Along at Irish Rep. This year, she was nominated for an Encore Award for her portrayal of Muriel in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for Mason Street Warehouse (where Wicked City received its World Premiere.). David Murray Jaffe* (Arthur McKay) has previously been seen at the Depot in “Off the Map,” “Heroes,” and “The Drawer Boy.” In New York City he has performed at Lincoln Center, PS 122, Charas, Dixon Place, and the 78th Street Theater Lab, among other venues. He is a former member of Otrabanda Co., Dragonfly Theater Co., and Paradise Opera. David has also directed over thirty productions, including the New York City premiere of Lanford Wilson’s “Say De Kooning.” TV and film credits include “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” the PBS series “Enterprise,” and the feature films “Across the Universe,” “Floodstage,” and “No Picnic.” He holds an MFA from Ohio University and is a graduate of Kenyon College.
Shami McCormick* (May McKay) has been the Artistic Director of the Depot Theatre since 1980 and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and the American Federation of Television
and Radio Actors. She graduated from Kenyon College with a BA in Religion and more recently received an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Theatre from her Alma Mater. Shami studiedacting at both the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O’Neal Theatre Center in Waterford CT and the Hartman Theatre Conservatory in Stamford, CT. She has been an adjunct professor of theatre at SUNY Plattsburgh and has served on various state-wide and regional arts councils. Shami has acted in or directed over fifty professional productions and is the proud mom of three terrific sons and the wife of a very understanding husband.
Steven Patterson* (Wilson McKay) makes his Depot Theatre debut in The Cabbage Patch. He has performed in New York City and regionally with such theaters as South Coast Repertory, TheatreWorks, Capital Repertory, Lexington Conservatory Theatre, Kaliyuga Arts, freeFall Theatre, Chenango River Theatre, Centenary Stage Company, and the Oregon, Orlando, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festivals. Favorite roles have included Lear in King Lear, Jean Genet in Beauty, Austin Wiggin in The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World, David in Poor Super Man, Zach in A Chorus Line, the Creature in Frankenstein, Judi Boswell in How to Pray, and Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha.
John Thomas Waite* (Roy Macgillicuddy) a proud member of Actors Equity for 40 over years, made his Broadway debut as an understudy in DRACULA. He later took over the role of Mozart in the initial Broadway run of AMADEUS. Off Broadway John Thomas played The Mute, The Man Who Dies and The Old Actor in THE FANTASTICKS. Regional credits include: Actors Theatre in Louisville, Asolo State Theater, Barrington Stage, The Clarence Brown Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Cleveland Playhouse, Hartford Stage, The Independent Shakespeare Company, Lincoln Center, The Old Globe, Paper Mill Playhouse, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Syracuse Stage, Virginia Stage and The Wilma. John Thomas played a doctor on the soap LOVING and on the NBC series ED, he appeared as Watson to the Sherlock Holmes of Heavyweight Champion Larry Holmes on Court TV and here at The Depot was seen in THE WOMAN IN BLACK.
